Both Dr. Parkey and Dr. Davis earned their Doctorate of Dental Science degrees from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. They are both members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, Northeast Arkansas Dental Society and Crowley’s Ridge Study Club. Staying on the cutting edge of dentistry, they attend continuing education courses encompassing all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic, restorative, reconstructive and orthodontic specialties.
Offering a variety of restorative and preventive dental services, Drs. Parkey and Davis are committed to providing patients with the best care possible. Both design custom treatment plans to help extend the life of your teeth and improve your overall dental health. In order for you, the patient, to have the best dentistry has to offer, Drs. Carlene, Financial Coordinator
As financial coordinator, Carlene helps patients find ways to afford a beautiful and healthy smile. She also discusses treatment plans, cosmetic procedures, payment options and explains to patients the required steps nessecary to achieve the results they desire.
Carlene came to Parkey & Davis with a seven-year background in medical insurance, collections, and she has four years of experience with oral surgery. She has provided our patients with excellent customer service for the past 9 years.
Carlene and her husband Blandon have a grown daughter Jordan and son Caden, age 14. They enjoy baseball, baseball and more baseball!!! They also enjoy family vacations and fun in the sun.
Teresa, Hygiene Care Coordinator
Teresa, our Hygiene Co-ordinator, is that persistent voice you hear on your voicemail reminding you of your upcoming hygiene visit. She co-ordinates, schedules and confirms appointments for our patients. She missed her calling with the FBI, if you don't call her back, she will locate you! LOL
Teresa is a graduate of Valley View High School in Jonesboro and has worked with Dr. Parkey and Davis for 23 years. While she has been primarily a front desk girl, she recently went back to school and received her registered dental assistant license. So don't be scared if you see her helping in the back.
Teresa lives in Walnut Ridge and is married to her Prince Charming, Terry Gean. Together they have five grown children, Heather, Teresa, Caleb, Andrew, Kristen and three grand-children, Kyland, Ethan and Avery.
Teresa has many talents and interests too numerous to mention, and a dream to be a NYC Rockette when she grows up.
Wendy, Patient Care Coordinator
In addition to her passion for our patients, Wendy directs our internal and external marketing, keeps us plugged in to community events, plans awesome activities for our office, and bakes a delectable homemade bread. In 1987, she graduated from Jonesboro High School, then majored in marketing at Arkansas State. For 22 years, she’s honed her customer services skills to become one of the friendliest, most customer-service oriented administrative employees you’ll meet.
Wendy and her children Bradyn, Wil & Allie are members of First United Methodist Church. Wendy enjoys cheering for her children at their football and soccer games and escaping to the lake for some fun in the sun.
Shanda, Clinical Care Coordinator
Shanda our Clinical Care Coordinator graduated from Greene County Tech in 1998, received her Registered Dental Assistant License in 2006 and has been with the Parkey & Davis dental team since that time. Shanda will reserve your appointment at a time that is convenient for you, and then call to confirm a few days beforehand. She will also file your insurance claim for you in an attempt to maximize your dental benefits. If you have questions, or need to reschedule your visit, just ask for Shanda. She'll ensure that you get the care you need at a time that's right for you.
Shanda and her daughter Alexis enjoy going to the lake and spending time outdoors. Shanda finds herself playing the role of Chauffer to her pre teen daughter quite often.
Dental Hygienists
Amanda
Amanda, a dental hygienist, reviews patient medical history, applies sealants, performs oral cancer screenings and periodontal evaluations, conducts periodontal therapy, educates patients about their oral hygiene, administers local anesthesia, monitors nitrous oxide and performs prophylaxis. Prior to her 24 years with Drs. Parkey & Davis, she graduated from Valley View High School, and earned her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Amanda is licensed in local anesthesia, and is a 27-year member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. (Trustee for Northeast Arkansas District.) She has also been president and secretary/treasurer, of the Northeast Arkansas Dental Hygiene Association.
Amanda is a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church, where she serves as Children's Team Leader, children's church teacher and Asst. Sunday School teacher. Amanda and her husband of 18 years enjoy time with their children, as they play volleyball, basketball and baseball. They spend their summer at the lake as much as possible.
Shalla
Shalla, a registered dental hygienist, reviews patients’ medical histories and provides oral cancer screenings, periodontal evaluations, preventative prophylaxis, and periodontal therapy. She also administers local anesthetic, monitors nitrous oxide, applies sealants, and educates patients on oral hygiene.
With a BS in dental hygiene from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a BS in zoology from Arkansas State University, Shalla has continued on a successful career path. Currently she is a licensed instructor for Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy.
With husband Eddie, son Kael, and daughter Lindley Shalla attends First United Methodist Church where she teaches the 2 yr old Sunday school class. She also enjoys reading and practices Aiki Jujitsu at Lee's Karate.
Myrna
The English translation of Myrna’s name means "gentle”, making her the perfect addition to our office of gentle dental care. She has 20 years of experience in dental hygiene, enabling her to expertly evaluate, educate and treat patients with periodontal diseases. She also applies sealants, performs prophylaxis, monitors nitrous oxide and is licensed in local anesthesia. Myrna received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, graduating #1 in her class. She is a member of the First Baptist Church, and enjoys exercising, reading and traveling with her husband Stacy and their two children, Gilliam and Ashton.
Alisha
Alisha joined our practice in February of 07, bringing her preventive and periodontal expertise to the hygiene team. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from The University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock. Her skills include preventing and treating periodontal infection, administering local anesthesia, monitoring nitrous oxide, oral cancer screening and educating her patients.
As a mother of four, Alisha takes special pleasure in caring for young patients. She states, “I feel it’s important to help children develop good dental habits early in life. That way, they grow up enjoying healthy smiles and a trusting happy relationship with the dental professionals in their lives.”
Alisha and her family are members of the Southwest Church of Christ in Jonesboro where she teaches in the nursery. She and her husband, Travis, enjoy 4-wheeling, tennis, hiking, swimming and spending family time together.
Whitney
Whitney joined our Parkey & Davis Hygiene department in 2011. She graduated Trumann High School in 2007, completed her general studies at Arkansas State University before heading to Concorde Career College to earn her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Whitney reviews patients' medical histories with them and provides oral caner screenings, periodontal evaluations, preventative prophylaxis and periodontal therapy. She also administers local anesthetic, monitors nitrous oxide, applies sealants and educates patients on oral hygiene.
Whitney and her husband Chase attend McCormick Baptist Church. They enjoy spending family time with their dogs Talleigh & Aussie and with their children Reed & Brooklyn. Whitney loves to smile and laugh, and currently holds the title as "Floss Queen".
Dental Assistants
Erin
Erin graduated from Nettleton High School in 2007, and then went on to earn her dental certification from the Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy in May 2009. As a Registered dental assistant her duties include ensuring our patients are comfortable before treatment, assisting our doctors and hygienist during dental procedures, and addressing any questions or concerns patients have regarding their treatment. Erin takes pride in working with our accommodating, friendly team of professionals.
Erin and her husband Kevin, enjoy spending time with their daughter Madalynn and Schnauzer Cricket. They spend lots of time with family and love to fish!
Felicia
Felica joined our team at Parkey & Davis in September 2009. Licensed as an Expanded duties Dental Assistant she assists our doctors with procedures and helps patients understand their treatment plans so they can make educated decisions regarding their dental care.
Felica and Zach have a daughter Ryleigh and son Creed. They enjoy spending lots of their free time with family and friends.
Brandi
Brandi began her carrer as a dental assistant in November 2009. She attended the Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy and recieved her certification from the State of Arkansas as a Registered dental assistant. Brandi's attention to detail ensures that our patients recieve the best possible expierience during their appointment.
Brandi and her husband Hunter have two boys Gage and River. They love the water and boat, fish and swim every chance they get.
Natalie
Natalie is the newest member of our Parkey & Davis Team. She attended Hoxie High School, graduated from the Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy in May 2011, and is attending ASU. Our Doctors and Hygienist depend on Natalie's support, assisting them in every aspect of our patients care.
Natalie and Matt enjoy Razorback and Dallas Cowboy football, laying out at the pool and shopping.
