Michael C. Parkey, DDS,
PA & Craig T. Davis, Jr., DDS, PA |

Both Dr. Parkey and Dr. Davis earned their Doctorate of Dental
Science degrees from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. They
are both members of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry,
American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association,
Northeast Arkansas Dental Society and Crowley’s Ridge Study
Club. Staying on the cutting edge of dentistry, they attend continuing
education courses encompassing all aspects of dentistry including
cosmetic, restorative, reconstructive and orthodontic specialties.
Offering a variety of restorative and preventive dental services,
Drs. Parkey and Davis are committed to providing patients with the
best care possible. Both design custom treatment plans to help extend
the life of your teeth and improve your overall dental health. In
order for you, the patient, to have the best dentistry has to offer,

About Our Team
Business Team
Carlene Barrett
As financial coordinator, Carlene helps patients find ways to afford a beautiful and healthy smile. She also discusses treatment plans, explaining to patients the required steps to achieve the results they desire. Carlene works with patients in collections, too.
In 1991, Carlene graduated from Nettleton High School. She has worked in medical insurance for seven years, she came to Parkey & Davis with a seven-year background in collections, and she has four years of experience with oral surgery. She has served our patients for three years.
Mother of Jordan, age twenty, and Caden, age ten, Mag - Cat, Carlene and her husband of fourteen years, Blandon, enjoys spending time with Jordan going on family vacations, watching Caden play baseball and basketball. They are their children’s biggest fans at cheerleading competitions, baseball games, and basketball games.
Kim
As our insurance coordinator, she verifies and files insurance, then follows up and handles claim corrections as a courtesy to our valued patients. If you have questions regarding your insurance policy, Kim will be happy to help.
Kim graduated from Westside High School in 1995. She has worked in dentistry for five years, serving Parkey & Davis patients for three years. Kim attends Bono Church of Christ, graduated from Westside High School 1995, been with Parkey & Davis since Jan 2002, and attends Bono Church of Christ .
Brian and Kim are raising 2 boys - Austin and Tyler. They also enjoy going to the boys sporting events, going to the lake, just spending time with family, and watching Nascar.
Teresa Clay
Teresa, our Hygiene Co-ordinator, is that persistent voice you hear on your voicemail reminding you of your upcoming hygiene visit. She co-ordinates, schedules and confirms appointments for our patients. She missed her calling with the FBI, if you don't call her back, she will locate you! LOL
Teresa is a graduate of Valley View High School in Jonesboro and has worked with Dr. Parkey and Davis for 20 years. While she has been primarily a front desk girl, she recently went back to school and received her registered dental assistant license. So don't be scared if you see her helping in the back. :-)
Teresa has three grown children, Heather, Caleb and Kristen. Teresa has many talents and interests too numerous to mention, and a dream to be a NYC Rockette when she grows up.
Wendy Carson, Patient Care Coordinator
In addition to her passion for our patients, Wendy directs our internal and external marketing, keeps us plugged in to community events, plans awesome activities for our office, and bakes a delectable homemade bread. In 1987, she graduated from Jonesboro High School, then majored in marketing at Arkansas State. For 18 years, she’s honed her customer services skills to become one of the friendliest, most customer-service oriented administrative employees you’ll meet.
After hours, Wendy volunteers in the children’s and youth programs at her church, Cornerstone United Methodist. She enjoys spending time with her sweetheart and husband of 16 years, Brad. They have three beautiful children, Bradyn, Wil, and Allie. The family enjoys cheering on the kids at baseball and football games and going to the lake for a weekend of fun in the sun. When she can catch a rare moment alone, Wendy snuggles in with her crossword puzzles and takes it easy.
Dental Hygienists
Amanda
Amanda,
a dental hygienist, reviews patient medical history, applies sealants,
performs oral cancer screenings and periodontal evaluations, conducts
periodontal therapy, educates patients about their oral hygiene,
administers local anesthesia, monitors nitrous oxide and performs
prophylaxis. Prior to her 21 years with Drs. Parkey & Davis,
she graduated from Valley View High School, and earned her Associate
of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Amanda is licensed in local
anesthesia, and is a 24-year member of the American Dental Hygiene
Association and a trustee for Northeast Arkansas District. She has
also been president and secretary/treasurer of the Northeast Arkansas
Dental Hygiene Association.
Amanda is a member of the Northeast Arkansas Mothers of Multiples
and the Maple Grove Baptist Church, where she serves as Children's Team Leader instead of children's church teacher and Asst. Sunday School teacher. Amanda and her
husband of 18 years enjoy time with their children, snow skiing
and water skiing.
Shalla
Shalla, a registered dental hygienist, reviews patients’ medical histories and provides oral cancer screenings, periodontal evaluations, preventative prophylaxis, and periodontal therapy. She also administers local anesthetic, monitors nitrous oxide, applies sealants, and educates patients on oral hygiene.
With a BS in dental hygiene from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a BS in zoology from Arkansas State University, Shalla has continued on a successful career path. Currently, she’s a member of the American Dental Hygienist Association, president of the Northeast Arkansas Dental Hygienist Association, and a licensed instructor for NEA Dental Assistant School.
With husband Eddie and son Kael, Shalla attends First United Methodist Church as a member. She also enjoys reading, going to the lake, and water skiing.
Myrna
The English translation of Myrna’s name means "gentle”,
making her the perfect addition to our office of gentle dental
care. She has 14 years of experience in dental hygiene,
enabling her to expertly evaluate, educate and treat patients
with periodontal diseases. She also applies sealants,
performs prophylaxis, monitors nitrous oxide and is licensed
in local anesthesia. Myrna received her Bachelor of Science
Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Tennessee in
Memphis, graduating #1 in her class. She is a member of the
First Baptist Church, and enjoys exercising, reading and traveling
with her husband Stacy and their two children, Gilliam and
Ashton. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association.
Alisha
Alisha joined our practice in February of 07, bringing her preventive and periodontal expertise to the hygiene team. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene from The University of Arkansas Medical School in Little Rock. Her skills include preventing and treating periodontal infection, administering local anesthesia, monitoring nitrous oxide, oral cancer screening and educating her patients.
As a mother of four, Alisha takes special pleasure in caring for young patients. She states, “I feel it’s important to help children develop good dental habits early in life. That way, they grow up enjoying healthy smiles and a trusting happy relationship with the dental professionals in their lives.”
Alisha and her family are members of the Southwest Church of Christ in Jonesboro where she teaches in the nursery. She and her husband, Travis, enjoy 4-wheeling, tennis, hiking, swimming and spending family time together.
Shaunna
Shaunna graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene in 2001. She has eight years of experience maintaining healthy smiles and educating patients about the benefits or proper home hygiene. We appreciate Shaunna’s advanced training, lengthy experience, clinical skill, and gentle chairside manner. She regularly performs oral cancer screenings, periodontal evaluations, thorough cleanings, as well as administers anesthesia and applies dental sealants.
Away from the office, Shaunna attends Cornerstone United Methodist Church and enjoys spending time with her son, Lawson. Her interests include scrapbooking, antiques, and traveling.
Dental Assistants
Diane
Diane is our dental assistant, and she has thirteen years of experience. She has been an integral part of our team for almost ten years. In addition to holding her license as an RDA, Diane is a certified instructor by the Arkansas State Board of Private Career Education. She assists the doctors with procedures and helps patients understand their treatment plans so they can make educated decisions regarding their dental care. Diane instructs and oversees our assistant school and maintains close relationships with all of our patients.
With her husband, Michael, Diane has two children and one grandchild. She is a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with her family. When she’s not at work or church, Diane is a nature enthusiast, hunting and camping in the great outdoors.
Michelle
Dental
Assistant Michelle has a one-on-one relationship with the patients
and the doctors. She assists Drs. Parkey & Davis with all scheduled
procedures, and always makes her patients’ comfort a top priority.
A Nettleton High School graduate, Michelle worked as a dental assistant
for two years before joining Parkey & Davis, where she enjoys
the personal aspect of getting to know patients.
In her free time, Michelle also enjoys going to the lake and hunting.
Erin Lawrence
Erin graduated from Nettleton High School in 2007, and then went on to earn her dental certification from the Arkansas Dental Assistant Academy at Parkey and Davis. Her duties include ensuring our patients are comfortable before treatment, assisting Drs. Parkey and Davis during dental procedures, and addressing any questions or concerns patients have regarding their treatment. Erin takes pride in working with our accommodating, friendly team of professionals.
Erin and her husband, Kevin, have two dogs whose company they enjoy in their free time.
Megan Meredith
Megan attended Trumann High School and received her dental certification from the North East Arkansas Dental Assisting School. As our doctor coordinator, Megan will reserve your appointment at a time that’s convenient for you, and then call to confirm a few days beforehand. She will also file your insurance claim for you in an attempt to maximize your benefits. If you have any questions, or need to reschedule your visit, just ask for Megan. She’ll ensure that you get the care you need at a time that’s right for you.
Originally from Alice, Texas, Megan and her husband, Brian, have one daughter, Avery. Away from the office, Megan works in the nursery at Temple Baptist Church and coaches Upward Cheerleading. Her recreational activities include going to the lake, shopping, scrapbooking, and reading.
