Professional Teeth Cleaning

Our dental hygienists work hard to provide you and your family a thorough cleaning to remove harmful plaque and tartar build up and maintain a healthy smile. During your check-up, we don't just clean your teeth. Our team thoroughly examines your mouth, jaw and face to screen for potential diseases such as gum disease, TMJ, grinding teeth and more. We also recommend techniques for at-home dental care to protect your smile.

Treating Gum Disease with Periodontal Therapy

Periodontal disease is one of the most common issues patients suffer with across America. As a matter of fact, gingivitis and periodontitis (the early and later stages of gum disease) affect nearly 50 percent of adults. That's why it's imperative to begin treatment as soon as it's detected. Fortunately, Drs. Parkey and Davis offer non-surgical periodontal therapy that can halt the progression of gum disease and save your smile.

We treat gum disease with scaling and root planing. Scaling allows our team to thoroughly remove the plaque and tartar above and below your gumline that trap the bacteria causing the issue. With planing, we smooth any rough spots on your teeth, which repels plaque building and allows a clean surface for your gums to reattach to your teeth.

You can maintain gum health by brushing your teeth twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste, flossing and visiting our office for dental cleanings every six months.

Gentle Hands. Loving Hearts. Perfect Smiles.
